Abstract

The sea slug Bursatella leachii is formally recorded for the first time in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, at latitudes below the geomorphological formation of Touros High, a significant continental landmark of South America and the Northeast Brazil Ecorregion. New records on the northern and eastern coast of Rio Grande do Norte are reported, including the oldest historical record for the species in the state, now encompassing a period of 30 years of regional occurrences.
