Diet plasticity of black-horned capuchin monkey

Abstract

Sapajus nigritus popularly known as southern black-horned capuchin monkey is a medium-sized arboreal primate endemic to the Atlantic Forest. They have high trophic and behavioral plasticity, which allows them to adapt to different environments, including highly fragmented landscapes and urban areas. This study aimed to understand the patterns and variations in the diet and feeding activity of capuchin monkeys living in an urban area by comparing areas with different habitat composition.
