Abstract

Nutrient availability and nutrient cycling processes are among the main factors controlling primary production and ecosystems development. Nutrient cycling studies are useful for comparing ecosystems and in the evaluation of ecosystems responses to environmental stresses. Such studies can furnish supporting information for improving ecosystems management strategies.
