A MULHER POLICIAL BRASILEIRA NAS TRAMAS DA REDE: ENTRE OS JÁ DITOS DA MEMÓRIA, IMAGINÁRIO E RESISTÊNCIA

Abstract

In this study, we aim to investigate the discursive functioning regarding the subject of the woman-police officer inscribed in verbal and imagetic materialities established in digital media. For the construction of the discursive corpus, we selected, directly from the social network Instagram, two discursive sequences (DSs) concerning women in the police force. To this end, we based our theoretical framework on the Discourse Analysis of Pecheut's affiliation. The analytical gestures showed that the discursive construction about the woman-police officer on the digital network Instagram updates the memory of military and sexist discourses, circumscribed in the analyzed DSs, in which the meanings about women in the police sphere are affected and constituted according to the imaginary formations and the ideological determinations of the military, sexist, and feminine imaginaries. Furthermore, the results indicated that digital media can function as a form of resistance against authoritarian, sexist, and militaristic discourses that seek to delimit how the woman-police officer subject-position is signified in history.
