The Rise of China and the Neoliberal Crisis

This article examines China’s central role in forming an emerging bloc in the Global South capable of challenging U.S. hegemony. Drawing on Giovanni Arrighi’s theory (2008) and marxian assumptions, it analyzes the conflict between U.S. financialized hegemony and the Chinese industrial superpower. The article argues for the anti-systemic character of socialism with Chinese characteristics and its potential to lead the Global South in shaping a new multipolar order that transcends the foundations of the capitalist mode of production.
