Resumo

Os trechos do livro Hiperativos! Crítica da cultura do déficit de atenção (Hyperaktiv! Kritik der Aufmerksamkeitsdefizitkultur) selecionados examinam a ligação essencial entre a faculdade de atenção, a imaginação e o surgimento do sagrado no processo de hominização. A reflexão sobre as origens do espaço mental humano enfatiza o papel dos “pronomes demonstrativos itinerantes” para a formação da atenção e seu nexo com a experiência da epifania. Manifestações atuais de culto religioso em práticas profanas e inevitáveis contaminações profanas em esferas sagradas corroboram o nexo originário entre atenção e epifania na atividade ritual.

Abstract: The excerpts of the book Hyperactive! Critique of attention deficit culture (Hyperaktiv! Kritik der Aufmerksamkeitsdefizitkultur) selected examine the essential link between the faculty of attention, the imagination and the emerging of the holy in the process of human evolution. The reflection on the origins of human mental space emphasizes the role of “wandering demonstrative pronouns” for the formation of attention and its nexus with the experience of epiphany. Current manifestations of religious worship in secular practices and inevitable profane contamination in sacred spheres corroborate the originary link between attention and epiphany in ritual activity.
