Axiomática capitalista, vigilância distribuída e processos de subjetivação

Abstract

This article analyzes the specificity of capitalism based on the distinction proposed by Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari between the regimes of codification characteristic of pre-capitalist societies and the axiomatic regime that defines capitalism. It argues that this transformation entails a decisive shift in modes of power and processes of subjectivation, marked by the transition from a regime of secrecy to one of objective dissimulation. Initially, the article examines codes as dispositifs for marking bodies, inscribing debt, and explicitly organizing social hierarchies. It then analyzes the emergence of capitalist axiomatics as a differential system that manages decoded flows through abstract quantifications, producing the structural invisibilization of exploitation. Finally, the article articulates this analysis with Fernanda Bruno’s contributions on distributed surveillance, discussing the psychosocial and political implications in contemporary societies.
