Migrations involve the movement of people who have different causes. The purpose of this study is to understand how the protection of human rights is a fundamental factor in proposing political action within the Mercosur. Methods consisted of reviewing the literature and undertaking documentary analysis of the block agreements which permit understanding the relationship between migration and rights assurance. All parties involved agree on expanding the economic borders of the block but not so with regard to guarantees of fundamental rights via nation-states. We conclude that relating migration and basic human rights is essential for proposing policies that resolve conflict of interests and guarantee rights.Metrics
