This paper discusses the relationship between city & cinema considering the
relationship to be an important and crucial theme for understanding the two. Everyday urban life of individuals and social groups that were constituted by modernity when associated to how cinematic form produces representation is crucial for understanding the ways in which our lives, acts, behavior, identities, subjectivities and cultural practices have been constituted and reconstituted. Through contemplating the relationship of city & cinema, this work tries to understand cinema graphic images as a possibility and as a way of assembling ideas, concepts, images and perceptions which in a particular way present, articulate and discuss the essential domains of modern urban culture in general and postmodern urban culture in particular.
