An Active and Questioning Position in Geography

Abstract

Theoretical considerations about Geography and the environment are made
initially in the text. The concept of Intermediate Synthesis in relation to decision support is briefly discussed. A Spatialized Management Tree is presented as an example, showing some of its useful applications, including cost-benefit analysis coupled with simulations. Conclusions are presented concerning the importance of integrative informational structures as decision support procedures.
