Contemporary Tendencies on Geomorphological Knowledge Usage in Basic Education: Scale under Perspective

To what extent geomorphological knowledge discussed by scholar Geography are relevant to students daily life? This question is surronded by the discussions on this work, which end is to question the relevance and the meaning of the aforementioned knowledge in brazilians classrooms. Therefore, it starts talking about the epistemic paths assumed by geomorphological knowldge, trying to acknowledge the epistemic lines underlying this science. Next, it draws a parallel between scietinfic geomorphological knowledge and the one present in text books from 1940 until today. Finally, it presents the relevant knowledge about relief considered to be necessary to scholar Geography, afirming that such alteration will demand paradigmatic changes on how scale has been discussed with brazilian students up until now.
