This article deals with real estate production in medium-sized cities in Paraíba: Patos and Campina Grande. The time frame, from 2009 to 2020, corresponds to the duration of the Programa Minha Casa Minha Vida. The central issues were the territorial expansion of cities, the main urban agents involved, and socio-spatial inequality, resulting from the contradictions between the production of social housing and market housing. Its objective is to analyze the territorial expansion of both cities, from the real estate production of social housing and horizontal closed condominiums. The following methodological procedures were used: bibliographical research; documentary research on the undertakings and urban agents involved in such production; systematization of the collected data, with maps and tables; and data analysis. It was verified that the products contributed to the structuring of a continuous territorial expansion to the existing urban fabric, in Patos, and fragmented and discontinuous, in Campina Grande.
