In this article we propose to present the uniqueness of Aristotle and Greek understanding of Nature trough the underlying notion (hupokeimenon) such as this is elaborated in Aristotle's physics, namely as one of the principles of so-called natural beings. Nature, then, appears as something quite different from the way in which we usually understand it today, as this seems to us as a kind of available reserve fund.References
