Abstract

Based mainly on Jacques Derrida’s ‘Memoirs of the Blind Man’, in this article we discuss the implications, for the notion of truth, of the impossibility of telling an event. Drawing, writing or any other form of writing happens at the moment of blindness. Language is not a way of accessing something real, capable of being represented. Along these lines, we also want to reflect on the possibility of lying and, in the context of technoperformativity, on the issue of fake news.
