Abstract

In this text we intend to discuss and clarify the meaning of the idea of pure logic advocated by Edmund Husserl in his work Logische Untersunchungem, from 1900/01. Since this work represents the first movement of Husserlian phenomenology, we intend to clarify the issues that motivated the author and his initial project. As we intend to see, at first Husserl understood that the search for a foundation for the theory of knowledge should be pursued in the context of pure logic, a term that refers to a tradition of thought that also includes authors such as Bolzano and Frege. So, in order to understand the initial efforts of the founder of phenomenology in proposing the foundation of the sciences, we intend to investigate the meaning that pure logic came to occupy in his inaugural work of phenomenology, highlighting the fundamental elements that allow us to characterize his project.
