TRANSEXUAL MEN IN FOCUS

Abstract

This study aims to present how male transsexuality is inserted in the school context in Physical Education classes. Thereby, we used a qualitative research approach combined with the thematic oral history method to reconstruct the school trajectories of three transsexual men in Minas Gerais. In order to analyze the material produced, we anchored in the strands of transviad@s studies and intercultural studies. We noticed too much the gendered cut of the activities proposed, as pointed out by the three interlocutors. Finally, we hope that this debate undertaken by us can broaden and arouse interest in more inclusive and diverse practices in physical education classes.
