¿Militares, asalariados o trabajadores? Moral y emoción en un conflicto gremial de la Gendarmería Nacional Argentina

Abstract

Em outubro de 2012, efetivos da Gendarmería Nacional Argentina, força militarizada com atribuições policiais do país, protagonizaram um “conflito” sindical considerado inédito. O aquartelamento e a mobilização nas ruas resultavam de uma reclamação salarial. Contudo, diversas avaliações morais informadas por sentimentos proliferaram na época para tornar o evento inteligível. Elas enfatizavam a condição dos envolvidos, fosse como militares, assalariados ou trabalhadores, condenando ou justificando suas condutas, e orientando os cursos de ação. A análise proposta por este artigo identifica como tal dinâmica interpela o sentido do serviço na GNA.

In October 2012, members of the Gendarmería Nacional Argentina, the country's military force with police powers, staged a union “conflict” which was considered unprece­dented. The cantonment and mobilization in the streets re­sulted in a wage dispute. However, various different moral evaluations based on feelings proliferated at the time mak­ing the event unintelligible. They emphasised the status of those involved, whether military officers, wage earners or workers, condemning or justifying their behaviour and instructing the courses of action. The analysis proposed by the article Military Officers, Wage Earners or Workers? Moral and Emotion in a Union Conflict in The Gen­darmería Nacional Argentina identifies how such a dy­namic questions the meaning of the GNA service.
