The article presents aspects of the debate on child sexual violence in the USA over the last three decades. The analysis focuses on the medical-legal construction of the issue of pedophilia. The main objective is to present the current debate through an analysis of the medical literature, legal ordering, the systems that assess of sex offenders, and the digital platforms that publicize information about sex offenders. The discussion of this material is important for understanding the historical and social ramifications and the meanings of the disputed concept of pedophilia.
