This paper aims to analyze the religious conversion of drug dealers residing in Bairro da Penha, in Vitória, Espírito Santo. Based on biographical interviews, the life narratives of three pastors of the Operando Deus church, who had a previous career in trafficking and later in the church, will serve to reflect on a path that has been increasingly common in the Brazilian peripheries, where worlds of crime and religion are related in the most varied ways. In this article, this relationship is analyzed as a transition between two careers that make up different circulations of gifts in the universes of crime and religion.Downloads
