This paper aims to analyze the relationship between homicide indicators and the arrival of foreign tourists in Brazil. A quantitative and descriptive research was carried out, in which linear regression models were created. The results show that the arrival of foreign tourists might cause an increase in the absolute number of homicides in tourist locations. In addition, we also found that an increase in the homicide rate in a given year caused a drop in the absolute number of foreign visitors in the subsequent year.Downloads
