Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to analyze the effects of subjectivation that have been induced by government initiatives related to crime prevention, implemented since the beginning of the 2000s, within the framework of the municipal government of Rosario (Santa Fe, Argentina). The research aims to detect the tendencies that the preventive devices favor to constitute certain types of subjects -individuals and collectives- and not others. And the way in which this is linked to the logics of politicization in the scenario of democratic practices at the local level.
