This paper deals with the functioning of the criminal justice system in Brazilian society. The objective is to analyze the dynamics of processing the crime of rape of vulnerable people in a large capital in terms of decision-making by each actor of criminal justice. A reconstitution of the flow in cases of rape of vulnerable people in Belo Horizonte between 2015 to 2020 was carried out, from the occurrence registered by the Police to the court decision. The main empirical evidence obtained was the loose articulation between the organizations that make up the criminal justice apparatus as one of the causes of the fragility and inefficiency of the system.Downloads
