II ANATORG Census: a Study on the Views of Organized Supporters on the Phenomenon of Violence in Brazilian Soccer This research aims to understand the views of organized supporters on the phenomenon of violence in Brazilian soccer. It also seeks to analyze to what extent and how these fans engage in violent practices and the (possible) meanings and functions that these practices have for them. To achieve these objectives, the article draws on the results of a survey carried out at the request of the National Association of Organized Football Fans of Brazil (ANATORG), which involved 1,522 fans. Among other things, the results show where, when and against whom fights occur. They also point out the weapons used and the perceptions of these fans in relation to these acts. Finally, they indicate their proposals for improving safety in professional soccer.
