Abstract

The article discusses dating and marriages kept simultaneously by participants of robberies against financial institutions. In short periods, these men accumulate large sums of money and some of them are invested in legal businesses. To remain a fugitive from police, they use forged documents and fictitious names. It is recurring that a burglar acts out different characters, each one corresponding to a group of assets and a companion. This paper discusses the relationship between this illegal activity and the peculiarities in the emotional life of its practitioners, marked by veiled polygamy experiences and the mobilization of multiple identities.
