This article aims at establishing a dialogue between the poetics of Glória de Sant'Anna, an author from Mozambique, and the Brazilian Cecília Meireles, having the sea as one of the symbols of intersection between them. Its purpose is to highlight the close relationship between the Portuguese-speaking Africa and Brazil through literary compositions such as those by the aforementioned authors.
