The initial edition of the Revista Brasileira de Neurologia for this year is inaugurated with a focus on three fundamental aspects: a commemoration of the past, a proactive stance in the present, and a forward-looking perspective aimed at enhancing the journal.

Readers are cordially invited to delve into the historical evolution of the Revista Brasileira de Neurologia, the distinguished official scientific publication of the Institute of Neurology Deolindo Couto. The journal was initially published as the Jornal Brasileiro de Neurologia in March 1949  and was subsequently renamed the Revista Brasileira de Neurologia in 1983.
