Resumo

RESUMO:

Tradução para o português de Luana Adriano Araújo e Laércio Melo Martins do texto “Dignidad y autonomía. Reflexiones sobre la tradición kantiana”, de autoria de Thomas Gutmann, traduzido do alemão para o espanhol por Carlos Emel Rendón e publicado na Revista Estud. filos, nº 59, Enero-junio de 2019.

A ideia kantiana de que somente pessoas podem reivindicar respeito (“dignidade”) e somente para elas podem existir direitos morais, embora, ao mesmo tempo, nem todos os seres humanos sejam pessoas nesse sentido prescritivo estrito, contém um potencial considerável de exclusão. O presente artigo reconstrói, sob essa perspectiva, a arquitetura da filosofia moral de Kant (e da tradição kantiana) e investiga o alcance e os limites das diferentes propostas de solução imanentes à sua teoria.
