O COTIDIANO ESTÉTICO: considerações sobre a estetização do mundo

Este artigo visa refletir sobre a estética contemporânea a partir de um prisma nietzscheano, tendo como foco principal o “estético” como dimensão que torna excessiva a vida, favorecendo sua afirmação. Tomando como ponto de partida a noção de estetização do mundo, tema das recentes obras de Gilles Lipovetsky e Jean Serroy (2015) e de Byung-Chul Han (2015), argumentamos que não houve propriamente uma estetização “de cima para baixo” (como se uma esfera transcendente tivesse sido profanada e esvaziada), e sim uma abertura horizontal a um cotidiano estético. Em seguida, recorremos a Nietzsche e outros pensadores no intuito de distinguir o termo “estético” da estética filosófica tradicional. Observamos, por fim, que cada vez mais é no cotidiano estético, especialmente sob a alcunha do “design” (como compreensão sensível das mediações simbólicas que nos perfazem), que a afirmação da vida aparece com maior vigor, como ensejo e finalidade para a experiência estética.
This article aims to reflect on the contemporary aesthetics from a Nietzschean perspective, focusing mainly on the "aesthetical" as a dimension that makes life excessive, favoring its affirmation. Using as a starting point the notion of aestheticization of the world, subject of recent works by Gilles Lipovetsky and Jean Serroy (2015) and Byung-Chul Han (2015), we argue that what took place was not properly a "top-down" aesthetization (as if a transcendent sphere had been profaned and emptied), but a horizontal opening to an aesthetical daily life. Afterwards, we turn to Nietzsche and other thinkers in order to distinguish the term "aesthetical" from the traditional philosophical aesthetics. We note, finally, that it is increasingly in the aesthetical daily life, especially under the banner of "design" (as a sensitive understanding of the symbolic mediations that cross us), that the affirmation of life appears to be most effective, as occasion and purpose for the aesthetical experience
