O objetivo deste trabalho é apresentar a hipótese de que há um gesto sofista na obra Ecce homo de Nietzsche. No âmbito de desencapsular o gênero “autobiografia” associado à obra, ampliando as margens desse escrito para a compreensão de uma “doxografia sofística de si”, o que se segue é uma experimentação de caráter ensaístico. Para tanto, analiso e confronto esboços de títulos dos escritos a partir das “transcrições diferenciadas” da KGW IX/9, seguindo o debate de Pichler. Parto, portanto, de uma análise textual do “título” e sua performance dos tipos enquanto “hipotipose” para uma possível captura da Persönlichkeit pelo topete. Por fim, indico de que maneira essa Persönlichkeit eclode em meio a esses elementos que formam uma monumentalidade no estilo doxosofista.
