Abstract: We will analyze the role of “art” or “artistic practices” in their relation to philosophy and political action. We'll start from Oscar Wilde's “aestheticism” and the so-called “decadence” in Charles Baudelaire, to highlight one of its objectives: ending the yearnings of modernity and its aesthetic forms, within the framework of a society proud of its social and technological progress. From there we'll consider art in relation to Deleuzian definition of philosophy as a “creation of concepts”.

Keywords: Art; Aesthetics and politics; Gilles Deleuze.
