Art and Philosophy: 'Aestheticism', 'thinking' and 'political action'.
Abstract
We will analyze the role of “art” or “artistic practices” in their relation to philosophy and political action. We'll start from Oscar Wilde's “aestheticism” and the so-called “decadence” in Charles Baudelaire, to highlight one of its objectives: ending the yearnings of modernity and its aesthetic forms, within the framework of a society proud of its social and technological progress. From there we'll consider art in relation to Deleuzian definition of philosophy as a “creation of concepts”. Keywords: Art; Aesthetics and politics; Gilles Deleuze.Downloads
