Contemporary economic dynamics and different changes in urban sociability produce conditions that lead to the restructuring processes of cities, altering everyday spatial logics, forms, and urban centralities. Intermediary cities expose facets of this process and reveal new nuances of urbanization, the complexity of urban spaces, and the expansion of major real estate capitals in the shopping center sector. This article seeks to discuss urban restructuring by analyzing consumption spaces in contemporary medium-sized cities, using bibliographic sources and research results developed. The results indicate an expansion of corporate spatial logics on a national scale and the incorporation of new spatial forms and new issues related to urban centrality.
