In his work Nicomachean EthicsAristotle explains the contingent character of actions, but the importance of the practice to avoid wrongdoings. His study of action leads him to define the ‘good’ as the motor of action and summon good as the happiness of the polis. This text shows how the ethical virtues characterize an active state and the meaning of habit in the Aristotelian ethics.References
