Abstract

Without prudence as a practice virtue for excellence would not be possible something like a practical philosophy. However, according to Aristotle, it is the orientation for the good and for eudaemoniaor happinessthat the own prudence constitutes itself. When is denied the possibility of a universal science of good, the philosophy assumes the task of determining the character of good for the human good itself. Therefore, it starts from the analysis of the deliberative exercise and seeks determine the ontological content of its 'object'. The work of Aristotle's practical philosophy is the reliability of the action as legitimate path to happiness, either to the individual or to the city.
