This article points out possible axes to read the poetry of Fiama Hasse Pais Brandão. The first has to do with the search for the unique reader, the one privileged to understand the intricacies of the so-called hermetic literature. In this section, we try to understand this concept of Brandão through the reaction to the reading of Roland Barthes, in“The Death of the Author” published in 1968. The second part connects image and desire . In this way, we can see how the desire and the eroticism dialogue is expressed in Fiama's poetics. We understand the expected abandonment by the reader as an enunciation of the lacking, a central concept for understanding the idea behind eros. Finally, the third part explores the theories of image in a theoretical investigation that accompanies the writing of author of Poesia 61. We begin discussing that confront the literary imagery and the sense of the vision until one of the last verses of the author. Thus, the definition of the support of the image, in complex and multiple ways was the preoccupation that grounded Fiama Hasse Pais Brandão’s Obra breve.
