A metáfora no ensino: uma análise de seu potencial como recurso pedagógico em videoaulas do Youtube

O presente artigo trata da ocorrência de metáforas conceptuais e de suas respectivas expressões metafóricas em videoaulas do YouTube, assim como apresenta avanços nas discussões e análises realizadas por Schabarum e Chishman (2020) nesse mesmo contexto. Nesse sentido, o objetivo geral do trabalho é averiguar o caráter pedagógico da emergência de metáforas em videoaulas. Para isso, tomamos como base os pressupostos teóricos de Cameron (1999, 2003) e Semino (2008). Do ponto de vista metodológico, esta pesquisa tem caráter qualitativo e conta, como corpus de pesquisa, com a transcrição de duas videoaulas de Biologia sobre sistema imunológico provenientes do YouTube. Foram adotados, como recursos metodológicos, um dicionário de termos de ciências biológicas e uma ferramenta de pesquisa em corpus eletrônico. Os resultados indicam que as metáforas conceptuais as expressões metafóricas por elas licenciadas são amplamente empregadas nas videoaulas analisadas e representam conceitos científicos com gradação e precisão distintas, já que as expressões metafóricas que representam nosso entendimento sobre conceitos científicos podem ser classificadas como técnicas, subtécnicas ou constitutivas de teoria, conforme postula Cameron (2003). Essas metáforas e expressões metafóricas apresentam, contudo, um ponto em comum: funcionam como recurso pedagógico eficiente.
