Condição feminina e confinamento em <em>As três Marias</em>, de Rachel de Queiroz

Este trabalho trata do romance As três Marias, de Rachel de Queiroz, utilizando o viés do estudo da condição feminina relacionada ao processo de confinamento porque passam as personagens do livro, em especial a narradora, Maria Augusta. A multiplicidade de confinamentos que perpassa pelo encerramento físico no colégio e no ambiente doméstico revela quão opressora é a sociedade patriarcal nordestina da primeira metade do século passado abordada pela autora. Outros sim, delineia as consequências sofridas por aquelas que ousavam transgredir as normas sociais vigentes, rompendo, assim, o círculo de isolamento e conformismo -- destino que parece ser reservado às personagens femininas naquele contexto.Downloads
