Abstract

Este estudo investiga a síncope das vogais postônicas não-finais na fala popular do Rio de Janeiro, em dados da fala de 25 informantes da Amostra Censo-80. A partir da abordagem sociolinguistica, este trabalho analisa os condicionamentos linguisticos e sociais que levam ao apagamento da vogal postônica não-final.
