Abstract

This article will deal with the assumptions related to the formation of a collection that constitutes the grammatization process in Brazil, in the period between 1808 and 1930. The rescuing of the list of publications takes place within the scope of the idea of the National Library as the main locus of national bibliographic memory. The collection will consist of titles from Portuguese language grammars and dictionaries (cornerstones of the metalinguistic knowledge and of the grammatization process), regardless of authorship, position in the canon and place of publication. This article will also present the first results of the research (sketches of the collection) and will list the different study proposals that we have developed from these results.

Irineu E. Jones Corrêa é Doutor e Mestre em Letras, pela Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro/UFRJ. É pesquisador sênior da Fundação Biblioteca Nacional/FBN. Seu trabalho tem ênfase em teoria literária, especialmente nas relações do texto escrito com a poesia, o poder simbólico e a psicanálise, e em Filologia, em especial com historiografia das gramáticas. Está associado a grupos de pesquisa da própria FBN, da Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro/UERJ e da UFRJ. É um dos idealizadores do projeto "Periódicos & Literatura: publicações efêmeras, memória permanente", coordenando a produção de sua página digital. É um dos líderes do grupo "A gramatização no Brasil: língua e construção da nacionalidade - 1820-1930" e do grupo "ARS - Arte Sociedade Realidade". Publica regularmente em livros acadêmicos e revistas especializadas. Foi beneficiário de estágio "Profession Culture", da Bibliothèque nationale de France.

Maria Cristina Jeronimo Antonio é formada em Letras (Língua Portuguesa e Literaturas – Bacharelado e Licenciatura – UFF/2007) e é mestre em Literatura Portuguesa (UFF/2011). Tem atuado em trabalhos em trabalhos cujo objeto de análise é o texto escrito e na produção editorial de diversos tiós de publicações. Noe mercado desde 2007, tem experiência em consultoria em língua portuguesa, atuando na produção de coleções e de livros (ficção e não ficção) e na escrita, edição e revisão de livros, de material técnico e de textos da área da educação.
