Os olhos e os ouvidos do juiz? O Samre, um serviço da Justiça das crianças e dos adolescentes no Brasil (BH)

Resumo

Este artigo nos permite entender a implicação dos profissionais na missão que lhes é atri­buida e ver como eles aplicam diretrizes que exigem do adolescente um trabalho sobre si, uma tomada de consciência e a aquisição de uma postura “responsável” em relação ao ato cometido e, mais amplamente, à vida. Se essa abordagem permite que os profissionais de um serviço específico possam ter a impressão de agir sobre os jovens e sobre o problema da criminalidade, veremos que eles enfrentam, regularmente, dificuldades que mostram que essa abordagem está em desacordo com a rea­lidade social vivida pelos jovens.

This article The Eyes and Ears of the Judge? Samre, a Service of Justice of Children and Adolescents in Bra­zil (BH) analyses on certain principles of the court involved youth in Brazil from the study of a specific service of the ju­venile justice system in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais. From the observation of the work of these professionals, we shall see how they get involved in their mission and apply it di­rectives which have a character individualizing, requiring young people a work on one, an awareness of their situ­ation and a “responsible” posture in front of the committed act and more widely in front of the life. The professionals are confronted with difficulties which remind them that this approach centered on the individual is in gap in front of the social reality of the young people.
