This paper analyzes the case of prisoners housed in police vehicles and prisons, which became routine in Rio Grande do Sul from 2015 onwards. Suspects face a punishment at the body’s threshold and administratively decided upon, that is, prior to a court hearing. Based on research carried out between 2015 and 2020, we analyzed the emergency of the daily life, based on concepts of “territory” by Haesbaert and “security device” by Foucault. We concluded that the implementation of polices whit a corporate bias in the police is related to the formation of a kind of a “government brete”, an urban nonplace that imprisons or corner inmates in the midst of a punishment that denies them even the right to a place in prison.Downloads
