Abstract

This paper intends, from reading the poem “Deixa passar o meu povo!”, by Noémia de Sousa, to analyzed the configuration of a poetical resistance developed by collecting some cultural references from the African Diaspora, especially from the North-American black choral music. It is pointed out the possibility of thinking the Diaspora as a space of cultural circulation instead of a strictly divided place.
