Título: A mítica telúrica moçambicana em A varanda do frangipani, de Mia Couto: vertentes do real maravilhoso na literatura contra-hegemônica da África lusófona

RESUMO:
A despeito de certas tendências da tradição crítico-teórica restringirem a ocorrência do real maravilhoso -- seja como gênero literário, numa visão mais tradicional, seja como modo discursivo, numa visão mais contemporânea -- à produção literária latino-americana -- ou, ainda mais restritivamente, hispano-americana -- a leitura crítico-interpretativa que se propõe de A varanda do frangipani, do escritor moçambicano Mia Couto, tenta abordar essa narrativa como filiável aos gêneros -- seja maravilhoso, fantástico, real maravilhoso, real mágico etc. -- do insólito. Gêneros que se apóiam na manifestação de eventos inusitados frente às expectativas quotidianas, ancoradas no senso comum. Gêneros considerados como construtos de estratégias vinculáveis a posturas ficcionais contra-hegemônicas, a partir da emersão de marcas de uma mítica telúrica nacional, que dão suporte a discussões variadas em torno de traços identitários, confrontando os olhares de dentro -- do eu/sujeito africano/moçambicano -- com os de fora -- do outro/objeto branco/europeu/português.
