O artigo propõe uma aproximação entre a experiência traumática da guerra e a experiência das mulheres, no relato das guerras que recentemente dizimaram países africanos como Angola e Moçambique. O foco incidirá sobre as crônicas da escritora angolana Ana Paula Tavares, publicadas na imprensa portuguesa, entre 1999 e 2002, e posteriormente reunidas no livro A cabeça de Salomé (2004).
