Abstract

Subordinada a uma pesquisa estética sobre os processos de transição e transação dos poderes políticos, a figura da prostituta possui uma vocação profundamente histórica na obra de João Paulo Borges Coelho. Após uma breve contextualização da inscrição desta temática no campo literário moçambicano, analisaremos as formas e funções da mesma nos romances As visitas do Dr. Valdez e Crónica da Rua 513.2.
