No constante jogo entre oral e escrito, “moderno” e “tradicional”, Mia Couto tece as suas narrativas, que retratam as múltiplas realidades do seu país. Este jogo desenvolve-se tanto no nível da enunciação quanto no nível formal da escrita. O presente artigo visa analisar como, através das transformações da forma e do género literário, Mia Couto, no seu romance A varanda do Frangipani, constrói uma proposta/visão do futuro moçambicano no âmbito sociocultural depois da guerra.
