Call for Papers – Thematic Dossier

The UFRJ Graduate Program in Music and the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Music announce the call for papers for the thematic dossier Music Education in Post-Modernity: Epistemologies, Practices and Contexts of its v. 34, n. 1 (2021), coordinated by guest editors Sergio Álvares, permanent professor of the UFRJ Graduate Program in Music and leader of the Music Education, Comprehensive Musicality and Cultural Diversity in Post-Modernity Research Group, and Fábio Adour, permanent professor of the UFRJ Graduate Program in Music. The call for papers of this thematic dossier is addressed to researchers, faculty, and graduate students in Music and related areas.

Call for papers - Thematic Dossier

The UFRJ Graduate Program in Music (PPGM) and the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Music announce the call for papers for the thematic dossier Creative processes in collaborative musical performance - dynamics and perspectives of its v. 33, n. 2 (2020), coordinated by guest editors Pedro Bittencourt, full time professor at the Wind Department of UFRJ School of Music and leader of the Performance Today Research Group of PPGM-UFRJ, and Danilo Rossetti, full time professor of the UFMT Department of Arts.

The call for papers of this thematic dossier is addressed to researchers, faculty, and graduate students of music and related areas: musical performance, composition, sonology, contemporary music practices in performance, computer music, collaborative processes, musical improvisation.

Call for papers for thematic dossier and for continuous flow

The UFRJ Graduate Program in Music and the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Music announce the call for papers for its v. 33, no. 1 (2020), in the modalities: 1) thematic dossier “Sound and Music in Audiovisual Studies” (edited by the “Rhythm, Body and Sound” Research Group of PPGM-UFRJ); and 2) continuous flow.

The call is addressed to researchers, faculty and graduate students in music and related fields, and for the thematic dossier also in the field of cinema and communication. Contributions in the form of complete articles in Portuguese, English or Spanish must be original and unpublished, and conform to the guidelines for authors and conditions for submission of the Brazilian Journal of Music. The deadline for submission is March 31, 2020, after which continuous flow submissions will be considered for the next volume of publication.
