O estado da arte dos estudos sobre sujeitos nulos, posições de sujeito e marcas flexionais

This text presents an overview of the studies on null subjects, subject positions, and flexional morphology, within generative grammar. The discussion will be restricted to specifc problems in this feld. The frst one is the parametric question itself and the typology of the null subjects, given the existence of languages that allow some types of null subjects only. A second question concerns the subject positions available in the sentences and the analysis to be offered to null subjects in general. Finally, we focus on the problem of morphological richness, historically tied to the discussion of referential null subjects in Romance languages.
