Cristina Flores graduated in Portuguese and German Teaching in 1999, holds a master's degree in Luso-German Studies - Bilingual and Intercultural Training since 2004 and, four years later, in 2008, she completed her PhD in Language Sciences, specialty of German Linguistics, with the dissertation titled "The syntactic competence of Portuguese-German bilingual speakers returned to Portugal. A Study on Linguistic Erosion ". Her academic background was fully taken in the institution that now welcomes her as an assistant professor in the Department of Germanic and Slavic Studies: the University of Minho, in Braga, Portugal.
