This is a case study developed in the field of Chomskyan innate studies which proposes to carry out a description of the personal pronominal pointings in Brazilian sign language. We compare our results with those presented by Hatzopoulou (2008), for Greek Sign Language, Petitto (1987), for American Sign Language (ASL) and Magalhães (2006), for Brazilian and European Portuguese, regarding the stages presented in language acquisition period. The data analyzed were obtained from spontaneous production of a deaf child, son of deaf parents, collected longitudinally from the age of one year and seven months to the age of three years and three months. The data were transcribed and analyzed using the ELAN 5.1 software. We selected all the pointings produced in argumental positions in the sentence and selected only personal pronominal pointings. Our results suggest an early production of personal pronouns in Brazilian sign language when compared to Portuguese.
